How to change path and Set Default Outlook.pst in Outlook 2007?

hello friends,

  • Still i have to give you information about how to configure outlook, how to create and edit rule in outlook but there is also another things to know about outlook like PST, Signature etc.

  • Today i want to give you information about how to change the path of our PST means when we configure outlook first time at that time the default path of PST is

C:\Users\User name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

 but what is Pst ? its a first question in our mind.

  • Than PST is our whole outlook data means our all mails are saved in our PST so we have take backup of our mail or change the path of our PST file.

  • but its a little problem with that when ever some problem with C drive or OS crash  or Virus attacked at that time we have to make format at that time we have delete or format C drive so our outlook data was lost.

  • Now see the procedure of Change the path of PST in outlook.

 --> ADD form this option you can select your PST and from the use of  Set as Default option

you can make as default PST you can also remove extra pst from the list and also open directly pst folder.


  • Copy this PST file and paste it in another drive and add it as default .pst.
